We are searching for a skilled and motivated
EV Charging Field Service Electrician . This role is responsible for onsite repair and maintenance of EV charging stations in a specific geographic region, including site safety, electrical system maintenance/repair, site field reports, and other duties required to maintain and operate the site within contractual requirements. The role requires the ability to work independently in the field under various conditions. Core Responsibilities
Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/revisions to equipment ranging from Level 2 EV chargers to DC Fast Chargers. Perform testing on equipment, including insulation testing (megger testing), thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations. Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate/isolate ground faults. Coordinate with Planning and Scheduling to ensure maintenance schedules are followed and work orders completed accurately and on time. Review site manuals and drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance of equipment. In-field electrical and mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance of site equipment, site field reporting, work order completion, and other related tasks. Document issues in the work order system and address them promptly. Core Experience
Electrical – Certified Electrician (Journeyman level) from a relevant state (REQUIRED). 2+ years’ equivalent experience in servicing electrical power equipment in the commercial or utility energy field and/or formal electrical training. Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of EV chargers, solar power installations, or other power electronics is preferred but not required. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate, track, and complete site work requirements. Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with a high level of results orientation. Exposure to working in all elements (heat, cold, rain, snow) depending on geographic location. Working around high voltages and currents. Wear PPE including hard hat and safety glasses. Site safety assessments and documentation such as JHA, LOTO, and other safety-related documentation per OSHA and site requirements. Compensation
Pay Range - $23.00-$40.00 hourly/DOE. This range reflects commitment to pay equity and compliance with state and federal pay transparency laws. Actual compensation depends on factors including skill set, experience, and location. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, stipends for tools/equipment and fuel, a company vehicle, per diem, or other compensation.
