FD STAFF SUPPORT OFFICER (SSO) with Security Clearance at STI-TEC. Position overview and context provided for Army G-8 leadership in activities related to investment strategies, requirements, acquisition, and modernization domains. Designated as key personnel with TS/SCI clearance, supporting modernization priorities and program resourcing. Responsibilities
Requirements and Acquisition Oversight: Apply JCIDS (AR 71-9, CJCSI 3170.01) and Defense Acquisition System (DoDI 5000.2) policies and procedures; review, analyze, and prepare recommendations on JCIDS and acquisition documents for Army and Joint boards (AROC, JROC, JCB, FCB, etc.). Requirements Development: Support development and validation of requirements documents (ICDs, CDDs, A-CDDs, ONS, BOIPs, ORDs). Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract and analyze data from Army equipping and resource systems (AE2S-M, CAMS, LAQA, ETR, LQA, cQUIP, AESIP, ECOP, FMSWeb, cPROBE); build and deploy BI and automation tools (SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, MS 365) to streamline processes and support reporting. Program and Resource Management: Support planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (POM, PPBE, SPAR, Extended Planning Period); develop and present investment and funding options (RDT&E, procurement); assess impacts of PDMs or congressional actions; monitor and update allocation/distribution plans and resolve equipment shortfalls in coordination with ASC (LMI) and PMs. Force Development and Modernization: Contribute to long-range modernization strategies, align with Army priorities (ReARMM, MDO, AimPoint, NDS); participate in planning efforts (TAA, FFR, ARSTRUC). Conduct analyses on doctrine, training, sustainment, and operational impacts to ensure alignment with program requirements. Leadership Support and Coordination: Prepare senior leaders with recommended positions, decision-support materials, and analysis for boards, councils, and conferences; provide timely written products (information papers, EXSUMs, smart books, reports) within tight deadlines; coordinate across ASA(ALT), Army Staff, ACOMs, and Joint stakeholders. Communication, Reporting, and Documentation: Develop clear program documentation, briefings, and budget justifications; maintain situational awareness of assigned programs and provide rapid updates on funding, fielding, industry factors, and risks; input and maintain accurate data in force development automated systems. Subject Matter Expertise: Apply operational or technical experience in combat, combat support, and combat service support formations; provide expertise in FDH-specific programs such as robotic combat vehicles, sUAS, loitering munitions, robotics, AI/ML, synthetic training environments, and networks. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher At least four (4) years of experience in Force Development duties TS-SCI Clearance Required (AOs for Artificial Intelligence/Robotics are required to have TS/SCI clearance) Strong coordination, communication, and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders Excellent written communications and proficient Microsoft Office skills Ability to streamline processes, improve affordability, stakeholder relations, and efficiency Interdisciplinary knowledge of PPBE, DoDI 5000.2, and JCIDS-related materiel and force structure requirements development Desired Qualifications
