FanDuel Sports Network
We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to support the corporate needs of FanDuel Sports Network, including vendor agreements, governance, litigation, compliance, and general corporate matters.
This position is a full-time role that can be based in the Southport, CT, or NYC office. Office reporting requirements may change based on business needs.
The Game Plan
(What you will do) Reviews, prepares, and negotiates commercial contracts (including vendor, non-disclosure, and service agreements). Supports corporate governance matters, including board meetings, corporate filings, and maintaining corporate records. Provides guidance to company managers and business units on a wide range of matters, including commercial transactions, contracts, and compliance. Collaborates with outside counsel on specialized legal matters and litigation when required, and addresses non-complex legal proceedings, including small claims, arbitrations, and collections matters. Stays current on applicable topics in the law. Develops and implements legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance across the organization, including regarding transactions, data privacy, litigation, risk management, and general corporate matters. (What to bring) Juris Doctor and admission to a state bar, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required. Experience supporting a corporate legal department or in-house setting. Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and general business law; data privacy and employment experience is a plus. Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills, and strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently while supporting cross-functional teams in a collaborative manner. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility adapting to changing business needs and legal requirements. Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, with a business-oriented mindset (understanding of commercial implications of legal decisions).
