The Impact You Will Have Reporting to the Regional Property Leader – Southeast, this position will take prime responsibility for underwriting profitable new and renewal business to meet Allianz Commercial Property targets in accordance with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority. You will negotiate price and terms and conditions, as well as develop and maintain strong relationships with producers and clients in partnership with Market Management. Some Of Your Specific Responsibilities Could Include Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Allianz Commercial Property targets in accordance with underwriting guidelines and underwriting authority Negotiate price and terms and conditions Develop and maintain strong relationships with producers and clients in partnership with Market Management Ownership of large/key accounts and clients including negotiation of participation, pricing and terms and conditions Underwriting Strategy & Leadership Contribute to development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy for Allianz Commercial Property regionally Training, developing and coaching of experienced staff Manage complex referrals from underwriters and spokes and re-underwrite complex business as appropriate Delegate work as appropriate Underwrite Profitable business Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets Negotiate price and terms and conditions with producers. Underwrite and evaluate Natural Catastrophe Accumulation, ensuring an understanding of catastrophe modeling and interpretation of scenarios. Relationship Management Positively represent AGCS externally to the market Proactively drive involvement of functional areas in Underwriting process Develop and maintain strong relationships with key producers and clients and other relevant stakeholders Policy Documentation and Administration Ensure accurate policy documentation issued to producers File maintenance – ensure file is established and maintained for each risk and transaction handled. Market Management Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business Proactively liaise with MMC on market management initiatives Support Key Business Initiatives/Misc. Participate / contribute to key projects Training and development of underwriters Participate in cross regional activities as required / requested What You’ll Bring To The Role Proven track record in Underwriting profitable business in LoB with greater than 7 years environmental experience Preferably degree in Economics, Finance, Insurance Mgmt, or Business Administration In depth understanding of Property products and portfolio In depth understanding of regional / local commercial property insurance markets and competitor landscape Demonstrable, established relationships with brokers at peer group level and well established within local market The annualized base pay range for this role is $125,366 - $195,190.
