This role will focus on building the firm’s healthcare offerings and delivering business and technology consulting solutions with a focus on payer organizations. Working alongside our National Healthcare Practice Leaders, this role entails significant responsibility in developing new business, managing client relationships at executive levels, and providing hands-on guidance and direction, as well as oversight to project teams. Most importantly, candidates should be passionate about what they do and enjoy a fun, entrepreneurial environment. This Managing Director position will also play a key leadership role on our national healthcare team. Responsibilities: The Managing Director will be responsible for: Cultivate new and existing client business development opportunities for the Healthcare Practice with a focus on medical and ancillary insurers. Significantly generate prospecting/networking activities (events, meetings, phone calls, emails) in the pursuit of new client acquisition and brand awareness. Originate business development opportunities and manage the sales cycle with prospective clients. Actively leverage a previously built professional network and affiliate network in the local community. Develop key accounts with recurring revenue. Actively participate in relevant local business and industry organizations. Exhibit an excellent understanding of client issues and how to apply the appropriate West Monroe resources to convert identified issues into consulting opportunities and proposals. Lead the development of proposals, work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for potential projects. Effectively partner with the Business Development and Marketing teams to lead and drive marketing campaigns. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 12+ years of professional services consulting experience. Strong business development skills and an active professional network of relevant executive-level contacts in the local market (east coast, medical and ancillary plans). 10+ years of hands-on experience leading business and technology strategy projects and experience with complex business systems integration and technology transformation, specifically within health insurance companies. Membership and visibility in relevant professional organizations. Strong program and project management methodology background, including strategic planning and analysis, schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, and change management. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong communication skills to be able to work with clients and comfortably present to C-level executives. A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives. Ability to be in-person three days a week is required. Salary Range: Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is $280,000—$330,000 USD. Benefits: Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
