Category Manager – Raw Materials . As a
Category Manager – Raw Materials , you will: We are seeking a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for raw material categories. This role is critical in driving category strategies, optimizing total cost of ownership, and ensuring supplier performance through effective contract and relationship management. Key Responsibilities Category Strategy Execution Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement multi-year value creation projects. Use spend analytics and market intelligence to identify cost-saving and innovation opportunities. Maintain deep knowledge of supplier capabilities and financial stability to support preferred supplier selection. Contract Management Negotiate and manage supplier contracts in partnership with Legal. Ensure contracts are robust, comprehensive, and aligned with business needs. Supplier & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong supplier relationships (SRM). Lead cross-functional category council meetings and participate in RMAB. Resolve supplier issues and support new product introduction and tech transfer initiatives. Performance & Compliance Track and report supplier performance and value realization using scorecards and metrics. Manage data integrity across systems like PowerBI, SharePoint, Veeva, GEP Smart, Coupa/Ariba, Oracle/SAP. Continuous Improvement Execute sourcing processes (RFx events) for goods and services. Drive process and system enhancements across the organization. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Finance, or Supply Chain. 3–5+ years of procurement experience in category management, sourcing, and contract negotiations. 1–3+ years in biotech or life sciences industry preferred. Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and strategic planning. Familiarity with Ariba and SAP systems. Basic knowledge of GMP manufacturing processes and regulations. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills. Negotiate contracts and work in cross-functional, global teams. PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range:
