Role: Compliance Analyst for Union, prevailing wage and labor compliance issues. This role reports to the Director of Labor Compliance and focuses on managing day-to-day issues pertaining to certified payroll and related compliance programs. Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day issues pertaining to certified payroll, including providing oversight of administrative staff and answering questions on federal, state, and local prevailing wage requirements. Assess employment program data for key performance indicators (KPI) and conduct remote compliance checks to ensure projects and regions meet regulatory requirements. Support and evaluate questions for trends, provide guidance by sharing best practices, and conduct targeted training. Handle regulatory interactions, including visits and inspections, and resolve assessment findings and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors, including training sessions on proper payroll submission and compliance processes. Maintain a compliance calendar with submittal dates, training, and assessment schedules. Monitor employment-related regulatory actions, attend relevant conferences, and establish online alerts for compliance matters. Assist with oversight of project teams in reporting certified payroll and ensuring knowledge of McCarthy’s LCPtracker databases and, where applicable, client-specific tools. Support the implementation and maintenance of McCarthy’s Prevailing Wage Program and related policies and procedures, including standardized eDocuments for federal and federally funded projects. Contribute to onboarding plans for new certified payroll projects and manage public works project details and compliance issues. Assist with regulatory visits and audits as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, law, or related field. 5+ years’ experience with certified payroll. Working knowledge of construction industry compliance requirements and standards. Proficiency in compliance management software such as Paradigm 3, Intellect Compliance, and LCPtracker. Advanced analytical abilities and strong research and professional networking skills. Ability to travel up to 30%.
