This role ensures that all team members are fully trained in tools, processes, procedures, and customer service best practices, and that training remains aligned with performance goals and government requirements.

Summary:
The Project Manager I (Training Lead) will oversee the training program for contractor personnel supporting the CBP Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Field Support Directorate (TSD). This role ensures that all team members are fully trained in tools, processes, procedures, and customer service best practices, and that training remains aligned with performance goals and government requirements.
Responsibilities
Ensuring contract personnel are adequately trained in the tools, processes, procedures, and customer service best practices required to perform the services
Following existing formal training curricula for new hire training as well as refresher and remedial training for experienced agents
Continually reviewing existing training and contract performance for opportunities to improve
Monitoring post training work (including monitoring of new hires and work performed after recurring or remedial training) to ensure that agents are following instruction provided in training
Ensuring contractor personnel take all government-mandated training within deadlines established by TSD Government Leadership-tracking completion of training and reporting to TSD government leadership
Qualifications
In depth knowledge of training practices and techniques
Shall be customer-focused, responsive, reliable, and detail-oriented with solid managerial, communication, and problem-solving skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum three (3) years' experience working designing and/or delivering training within the federal Customs and Border Protection or other law enforcement agency
Ability to pass a background, credit check, and drug test
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice from an accredited university
3+ years as a training supervisor for a federal law enforcement agency
Pay and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $155,000 annually.
