The Opportunity

Shape the future of learning. We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager Director, Education to lead our team and drive impactful initiatives at the intersection of technology and education. You will report to the Head of Education and VP, Product, and partner with the education leadership team on operational strategy to enable cross-functional collaboration and deliver excellent products and partnerships. This role leads Education’s Technical Program Management team and related operational capabilities, setting direction and developing the operational strategy to optimize resources across education. What You'll Do

Drive Impact: Partner with Education leaders to set an operational strategy for resources (time, people, funds) that enables cross-sector work across philanthropic, education, and technology domains. Optimize Process: Design and direct program management practices and processes to enable strategic goals, tactical work, and a culture and values that support inclusion, speed, and quality. Foster Collaboration: Lead processes that support leadership alignment, execution, and accountability with product, engineering, and partnerships, including engagement with founders/CEOs and the advisory board. Champion Innovation: Develop and own processes that enable efficient decision-making, communication, delegation, and accountability; monitor organizational health and plan for continuous improvement. Cultivate Team Excellence: Lead a small team of technical and non-technical program managers overseeing major planning processes, internal communications, delivery processes, central collaborations, and stakeholder support. Be Flexible: Anticipate challenges and opportunities, adapt strategies and scope to drive change and continuous improvement. What You'll Bring

Proven leadership: Minimum 10 years of experience managing in complex sectors (education, enterprise, or government), with 5+ years in leadership managing technology teams. Experience with scaling organizations is required. Technology Management Expertise: Experience working with software teams as a technical program manager, product manager, or engineering manager is a plus. Strategic Mindset: Strong organizational and managerial intelligence with the ability to align strategy, goals, and roadmaps across diverse teams. Collaboration and Influence: Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with a practical, low-ego approach and ability to secure buy-in on priorities. First Principles and Analytical Decision Making: Comfortable with ambiguity; strong use of first principles and data-driven decision making. Process Design: Ability to identify organizational and operational gaps and design appropriately sized processes to scale the organization. Creativity and Humility: Innovative, collaborative, and uplifting leadership approach. Passion for Education: Strong intrinsic drive to deliver impact at the intersection of technology and education. Compensation

The base pay range for a new hire in this role is $225,000 - $309,100. The actual placement within the range is based on job-related skills and experience as evaluated throughout the interview process. Benefits
