Supply Chain Manager, Chassis Braking & Sensors role at Tesla. The Supply Chain Manager supports development teams and manufacturing partners in the direct sourcing of Chassis Controls products - Braking & Sensors. Builds strong working relationships with engineering teams and suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets, while optimizing total cost of ownership for Tesla and customers. What You'll Do

Owner of RFQ's and contract management — ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and documented before business is initiated Drive piece price and tooling negotiation to meet Best-In-Class pricing while upholding Supplier Industrialization standards of quality; lead cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc price negotiations Monitor global industry trends, track technology roadmaps, and partner with Design, Manufacturing, Materials, NPI and Material Planning teams to identify/mitigate supply and demand challenges Manage supplier relationships and performance, including dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews Participate in design reviews, change control meetings, and other technical discussions with Engineering Understand technical requirements and specifications; knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control for the commodity Communicate key supply, cost, and quality issues with management and develop corrective actions to mitigate risks What You'll Bring

Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience 2+ years of direct procurement or similar experience Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills; ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, dynamic environment Experience with mechanical/electrical engineering concepts related to the commodity and ability to estimate bottom-up should-costs based on manufacturing processes Proficient knowledge of technical requirements and product design; ability to influence cross-functional partners with detailed analysis that supports pricing and sourcing decisions Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice Benefits
