These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

55 Position Description: This position is funded for an average of 16 hours per week for up to 278 total hours. The position supports Office of the Director/ Office of Policy and is remote. Qualifications: Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in Public policy related experience such as reviewing, analyzing, and researching policy issues OR BA/BS Degree in No particular degree required Outstanding editing, writing, and research skills Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint Duties: Conduct research and compile relevant statutes, regulations, policies, and general information related to key NPS topics for which the Office of Policy is working on guidance documents or in response to public or internal inquiries. (40%) Review and edit background papers, briefing statements, and related materials on policy-related topics for clarity and content. (40%) Conduct background research, including conducting queries within the U.S. Geological Survey’s Geographic Names Information System (GNIS), on current and historic geographic features within the National Park System. (15%) Other duties as assigned by the Chief of Policy to support office operations. (5%) Other: Physical requirements: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. The duties of the position will be primarily sedentary.
