We’re looking for a
Flavor Applications Scientist
to join our Innovation Lab and lead the development of vanilla-based flavor applications across a wide range of food and beverage systems—including baked goods, dairy, confections, and beverages. This is a hands-on R&D role where you’ll formulate, test, and refine flavor solutions, analyze sensory attributes and stability, and collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and customers. You’ll play a key role in driving innovation and ensuring our vanilla extracts meet the highest standards of quality and performance. What You’ll Do
Lead R&D projects and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders. Develop flavor concepts aligned with customer needs and market trends. Create and evaluate new flavor blends and recommend solutions. Conduct sensory evaluations and participate in taste panels. Collaborate with teams across Quality, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Regulatory. Interface with customers via calls, video meetings, and in-person sessions. Represent the company at customer meetings, co-packers, and trade shows. What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Nutrition, or related field. 7–10 years of experience in Food R&D. Bench-top formulation experience across frozen desserts, baked goods, beverages, etc. Strong lab skills and sensory evaluation capabilities. Familiarity with USDA/FDA guidelines, GMP, and HACCP. Ability to taste and smell chemicals, flavors, and food products. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and project management tools. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and meet lab physical demands. Bonus Points
