Contract Associate Director, Impact and Learning
will support planning and program teams, helping to develop and implement frameworks to measure impact, support learning, and communicate results across a diverse portfolio of climate-related initiatives. This is a collaborative, equity-focused role at the intersection of climate science, philanthropy, and social justice. The ideal candidate is at a
Director or consulting level in program management
within a
philanthropic organization , with hands-on experience managing
grants and contracts
across multiple programs. Candidates should come from industries such as
climate, land use, or energy , and have a strong background in
program management . A Master’s degree is preferred. The role is
fully remote
but requires working
Pacific Time Zone hours , and will report to the Director in a highly collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Support up to 10 program and service teams in developing tools and methods to track progress. Facilitate collaborative design of theories of change, KPIs, and other metrics. Lead reporting and learning processes, including dashboards, surveys, and evaluations. Manage contracts and consultants related to impact and learning. Analyze and synthesize data to inform strategy and decision-making. Design and facilitate learning sessions and workshops. Support integration of equity and justice into metrics and evaluation frameworks. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL). Background in climate change-related work and lived experience in impacted communities preferred. Strong understanding of evaluation design, results frameworks, and research methodologies. Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones.
