Conveyance Project Manager
to support delivering world-class water and wastewater conveyance and storage projects for our municipal, private, and agricultural clients. You’ll join a team of experts in conveyance, pumping plant design, fish screen intakes, water, and wastewater treatment technologies and will have the opportunity to grow professionally through participation on project teams delivering challenging projects while serving and developing clients. We’ll rely on you to lead business development activities with key clients resulting in acquisition of new projects as well as perform the role of Project Manager supporting various projects and programs within a defined client portfolio. Using your conveyance technical expertise, you’ll play an integral role in leading and mentoring staff, forming long-term relationships with clients and pursuing new work, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts. Lead a team of engineers through the design process for conveyance projects. Interact directly with clients to develop and deliver technical conveyance solutions. Mentor mid-level engineers and develop project teams through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout. Grow career by acting as a seller-doer empowered to develop and manage projects in a trusted environment. Lead business development activities with key clients resulting in new project acquisitions. Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and contract requirements per established delivery processes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline. Minimum of 15 years of experience in water or wastewater civil engineering. Licensed California Professional Engineer Demonstrated track record delivering multiple conveyance-related water or wastewater projects. Proven ability to manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team. Ability to lead the design and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, studies, proposals and/or reports. Ability to work a hybrid schedule. Ideally, a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Experience serving diverse clients in conveyance pipeline design, project management, and water/wastewater pump station design. Business development, interpersonal, and networking skills to gain market share. Experience supporting business development activities with local municipalities. Benefits and other information
