Senior Principal IT Solution Architect - Global Deal Analysis Lead at Medtronic. The Global Pricing and Contracting IT team partners with pricing and contracting to build systems that enable advanced analytics to set customer prices and create effective contracts. The role is focused on understanding deals and impact analysis, transforming current state processes into scalable IT solutions, and driving value for customers and patients. Travel ~5%; work location Fridley or Mounds View, Minnesota. Responsibilities

Define, describe, diagram and document the interaction of high-level technological and human components to provide cost-efficient and innovative solutions that meet evolving business needs. Promote, guide and govern good architectural practice through defined technology and human interaction patterns and architecture mentorship. Support the full lifecycle management of the IT portfolio, including selection, usage, enhancement and replacement of applications, infrastructure and services. Architect and implement Price Optimizer solutions across pricing and contracting systems, ensuring cohesive system integration. Bridge the gap between Pricing & Contracting and IT, ensuring stakeholders understand how solutions and data drive business decisions. Convert business needs into solution architecture plans and clearly explain how to implement them. Lead discovery sessions, gather requirements and ensure thorough documentation; participate in the entire solution delivery lifecycle with emphasis on discovery, requirements definition and user acceptance testing. Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory and data privacy standards. Provide guidance on pricing-related solutions and best practices as a subject matter expert. Analyze complex challenges and deliver clear, actionable solutions; identify opportunities for process improvement and more efficient ways of working. Collaborate in agile environments, providing solution design guidance to developers and testers. Build expertise in Medtronic’s products, customers, and markets to deliver relevant solutions. Evaluate current Deal Analysis tools and advocate IT solutions that add value for customers and patients. Qualifications

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years with an advanced degree NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications) Solid understanding of system design and development lifecycles Experience implementing technologies that span automation, pricing, quoting and contracting Experience in Quote-To-Cash transformation in at least 2 large implementation cycles Experience with Quote-To-Cash software and IT SDLC lifecycle; technical development skills in Visual Studio, .NET, Java, Python Ability to read technical codes, sequence diagrams and pseudo-code when necessary Solid background in Quote-To-Cash business analysis including use cases, swim lanes, story cards and value streams Understanding of Excel and data extraction/analysis Experience working in agile methodology Experience defining new processes and improving existing processes Ability to solicit clear requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver reliable solutions Ability to translate complex technical topics to business management and users Self-motivated problem solver; ability to navigate ambiguity and define solutions Ability to build effective relationships with business users, technical staff, and executive management Excellent communication skills; ability to match content to different audiences Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining stakeholder collaboration Work Details
