About the Company Valon is building the AI-native operating system for regulated finance, starting with mortgage servicing.

Valon is a Series C company backed by a16z, transforming industries that others have written off as too complex to innovate. We built and operate our own mortgage servicing business managing $110+ billion in loans to understand the complexity needed to build software for regulated industries. ValonOS is our unified platform that makes every process structured and programmable and it is positioned for the AI era.

Product at Valon The Product team designs and scales a next-generation platform that delivers an exceptional experience for homeowners while enabling operational excellence for our servicing teams. We work at the intersection of regulation, finance, and technology—balancing the need for compliance and controls with the opportunity to build delightfully simple, transparent tools for consumers.

About The Role We’re looking for a Director of Product Management to lead the execution of Valon’s enterprise SaaS software for default mortgage servicing. The Default team operates at the nexus of multiple end customers, including homeowners, Valon’s servicing teams, investors, regulators, and law firms. This role will balance competing interests across those end customers by developing complex technological solutions to address severely delinquent mortgages and mortgages impacted by legal proceedings. As a relatively new function at Valon, you will have the opportunity to launch a number of new products from scratch. As a senior leader, you will oversee a team of product managers and collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Servicing Operations, and Compliance to ensure Valon delivers excellent products quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Own the entirety of our non-performing servicing product, define and lead the product execution of our non-performing servicing platform, transforming an inefficient operations-led industry into an efficient software platform

Lead and grow a high-performing team of product managers, setting clear priorities, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring exceptional execution

Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, and BizOps to ship impactful products at scale

Represent the voice of the homeowner in executive forums and strategic planning sessions

Ideal Background

7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years leading and scaling product teams

Demonstrated success delivering high-complexity, high-detail B2B/enterprise products at scale, ideally in fintech, proptech, or platform-based businesses

A strong track record of execution, hitting deadlines, and making customers happy

Proven ability to drive alignment across engineering, design, and business stakeholders

Strong product team building skills, hiring and retaining top performers

Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, insurance) is a plus
