As a member of the IT Management Team, you are responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of employees. You oversee team performance and deliverables, and you are charged with developing and executing your team’s strategic vision to align with the company and IT Division goals. Role and responsibilities Define and execute the development strategy for Costco Travel’s E-Commerce websites, web services platform, and supporting applications. Ensure policies and procedures maintain industry-leading architecture, design, and development standards for all assigned areas. Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and career development planning for team members. Participate in defining strategic direction and technology roadmap for Costco Travel’s technology applications. Define, implement, and support the Technology department’s service level agreement; drive adoption of the SDLC; drive project execution within the framework. Maintain high-quality outcomes for Costco Travel’s technology applications and participate in architecture, design, and code review sessions as appropriate. Keep current on new technology and make recommendations for future directions. Create and manage the resource plan for the development department; drive execution of small to medium development projects. Foster a sense of urgency within the team and department. Full-time management/leadership position (45+ hours per week). Qualifications 3+ years’ experience leading/managing an e-commerce and/or e-business application development team. Development experience in a Java-based environment; experience in Ecommerce, Web Services, and Web application development. Experience with SOAP/REST, MS-SQL Server/T-SQL, JDBC or equivalent data-tier frameworks, Java EE (Servlet & JSP), and SOA. Depth of experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies; strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure and in crisis situations. Scheduling flexibility to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed. Recommended Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Required Documents Cover Letter Resume Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $137,000 - $200,000; Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible levels.
