The classification of Supervisor Ramp & Passenger Services includes managing, coordinating and controlling airport activities for both Ramp Services and Passenger Service functions; monitors the quantity and quality of work performance; directs personnel within the assigned functional area; oversees staffing requirements; participates in discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; trains subordinates, ensures compliance with Company rules and standards; ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements. This role may include responsibility for communication between Airport Board officials and customers and proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand and implement the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and display it as required. The scope of the job may vary with the size of the operation and its primary line of business. Ramp Service Functions
Includes the following: loading and unloading of cargo (mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material) on and off aircraft; transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft; ramp transfers of cargo where required; receiving, delivering, and physical handling of freight and company material; completing forms and messages related to the performance of the designated locations; cleaning and servicing cabin interiors, including cockpit and lavatories; draining lavatories; handling and installing passenger service cabin furnishings and supplies; loading, unloading and racking drums; de-icing aircraft and cleaning aircraft windshields; pushback/tow operations; connecting/removing ground power and ground start units. May be required to clean the exterior of aircraft with cleaning fluids. May perform routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities with or without powered equipment. May assist in monitoring security of the facility. May perform routine automotive repair and servicing of equipment. Responsibilities
Perform all aspects of airport operations, including ticketing transactions, baggage check-in, issuing boarding passes, and dispatching flights in a safe and timely manner. May also be responsible for baggage service functions of filing loss, damage, and pilferage claims. Provide efficient and professional customer service and resolve passenger problems as required. Coordinate with all departments to ensure operational needs are met, including catering, fueling, and maintenance companies. Act as company representative when assigned. Report to work on a regular and timely basis. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures; interpret and apply operating and maintenance instructions. Demonstrate basic math and measurement skills as needed. Interpret operational data and adapt to changing requirements as needed. Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and days off. Preferred Skills
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment. Ability to handle stress and work with minimal supervision. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
