Join to apply for the ACNP/PA- Urology role at Erlanger. Erlanger is seeking a dedicated ACNP or PA to join our Urology team at the Baroness campus in an inpatient role. The position involves working closely with a urologic surgeon as a first assist in the OR and managing comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care. The APP will assist in a variety of urologic procedures in the OR, contribute to surgical preparation, intraoperative support, and post-surgical recovery. Responsibilities include managing patients before surgery through assessments and coordination, and after surgery by monitoring recovery, addressing complications, and ensuring smooth transitions to discharge or follow-up care. The APP will also round on inpatient urology cases, collaborate with the care team to evaluate progress, update treatment plans, and communicate with patients and families. Discharge responsibilities include patient education, medication reconciliation, and coordination of outpatient services to ensure continuity of care. The ideal candidate will have prior OR experience and a strong interest in surgical care. This role is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about supporting patients through the full surgical journey. This position uses a team-based approach to care and supports patients/families in self-management and behavior change. Location: Erlanger Baroness Hospital, Chattanooga, TN. Standard hours: Regular. Responsibilities

Assist in a variety of urologic procedures in the OR, including surgical preparation, intraoperative support, and post-surgical recovery. Manage pre-operative assessments and coordination; monitor post-operative recovery and discharge planning. Round on inpatient urology cases, evaluate progress, update treatment plans, and communicate with patients and families. Provide patient education, reconcile medications, and coordinate outpatient services to ensure care continuity. Collaborate with the care team to develop evidence-based protocols and individualized plans of care. Participate in quality improvement and clinical research activities as appropriate. Qualifications

Required Education : Completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program (Family or Adult) or Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program. Acute care certification required for ACNP. Preferred Experience : Previous OR experience is preferred. License/Certification/Registration : Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Tennessee. Department Position Summary

An ACNP/PA in Urology will work under the direction of physicians/medical director. Responsibilities include developing evidence-based protocols, collecting and analyzing patient data, collaborating with the health care team to implement testing and treatment according to protocols, and participating in health screening programs and education on urological topics. The individual may participate in clinical research and may assume the role of research coordinator, including education and enrollment in clinical trials. This role is based at Erlanger Baroness Hospital, Chattanooga, TN.
