Role Summary We are seeking a nocturnist Hospitalist Advance Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Erlanger Medical Center team. The successful candidate will collaborate with physicians to provide inpatient and outpatient care, participate in diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care for patients, and contribute to the development and implementation of testing and treatment protocols. The role emphasizes a team‑based approach, coordination of patient care, support for patients/families, management of the practice’s patient population, and participation in quality improvement and performance evaluation.
Education Requirements
Masters of Science (MSN) in Nursing.
Experience & Knowledge
Knowledge of general nursing principles and practice skills.
Understanding of organizational functions, policies, and regulations.
Awareness of current trends and new developments.
Knowledge of nursing principles applicable to advanced practice areas.
Licensing & Certifications
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Tennessee.
Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) licensed in Tennessee.
National specialty certification (e.g., ACNP, ANP, CCNS, FNP).
Certificate of fitness from the state of Tennessee (as required by specialty).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, maintained throughout employment.
Compliance with Tennessee licensure requirements and the Nurse Licensure Compact.
