Job Description: Centrillion Biosciences is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate - Synthetic Chemistry to join our chemistry team. Responsibilities: Design and execute multi-step syntheses of intermediates, building blocks, and final products using modern methods for synthesis, purification, and characterization of organic molecules. Utilize solid-phase and solution chemistry techniques. Purify and characterize synthetic products. Experience: Experience in traditional and contemporary organic synthesis techniques. Experience with analytical instruments such as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), infrared spectrometry (IR), mass spectrometry (MS), and elemental analysis. Familiarity with various techniques and reaction types, including low-temperature reactions, inert atmosphere, metal-catalyzed cross-coupling, hydrogenation, etc. Knowledge of purification methods and experience in characterizing organic compounds, especially NMR and mass spectroscopy. Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals. Requirements: BS or MS in Organic Chemistry with 3+ years of relevant industrial experience. A record of success in executing new synthetic routes and applying these approaches to the synthesis of intermediates and novel final molecules. A proven ability to synthesize compounds, troubleshoot problematic routes, and deliver required compounds in suitable yield and purity. Experience in purification techniques, including column chromatography and HPLC techniques. The selected candidate should be a self-motivated, driven, thorough, and careful experimentalist with the ability to multitask, think independently, and work independently as a demonstrated problem solver.
