Parking Ambassador (Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm)
role at Inside Higher Ed Location: Atlanta, Georgia. Regular, Full-Time. Job ID: 290285. This role is a supervisory position reporting to the department and requires working outside for the entirety of shift, standing and walking for extended periods in all weather conditions. Assist customers in the use of the parking system at pay-on-foot locations and entry/exit lanes in a professional manner, offering payment options and providing general campus information and parking alternatives. Provide minor cleaning and equipment maintenance, such as clearing ticket dispensers, adjusting gate arms, intercoms, and fee computer issues. Report critical equipment malfunctions, service/maintenance needs, and enforcement concerns to the supervisor for resolution. Manage traffic flow during peak ingress/egress periods and events to optimize entry and exit efficiency. Monitor space availability and utilization; assist with events and reservation accommodations as necessary. Periodically conduct space and utilization counts. Perform light portering to keep parking areas clean and clear of debris during each shift. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma, GED certificate, or vocational school diploma. Licenses/Certifications:
Valid US Driver's license of appropriate class with required endorsements. Experience:
One to two years of related experience;
preferred
two or more years, including outdoor settings with high-volume service, and parking operations at a university, city, or airport; experience with parking/access revenue control equipment. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of credit/debit card transactions and related record-keeping; proficiency with Microsoft Office; basic garage equipment maintenance; strong customer service and communication skills; problem-solving and attention to detail. USG/Core Values:
