Bas e pay range: $130,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr. Addison Group is excited to partner with a global, publicly traded industry leader to identify a Financial Reporting Manager who will play a key role in the company’s external reporting, technical accounting, and process improvement initiatives. This role offers broad exposure across Finance, including close collaboration with Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Audit. This role is hybrid (northwest suburbs of Chicago: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote). This description is provided by Addison Group. Lead and support the preparation of quarterly financial statements and SEC filings Collaborate with segment finance teams on technical accounting matters, including researching and documenting US GAAP conclusions Review financial disclosures and support analysts with footnote tie-outs and accuracy checks Analyze segment-level financials and reserves to identify trends and ensure compliance with accounting policies Support M&A activity through opening balance sheet reviews and third-party valuation coordination Assist in goodwill and reporting unit impairment assessments Coordinate quarterly Finance “roundtable” meetings with cross-functional stakeholders Support adoption of new accounting standards and policy updates Enhance internal controls and disclosure processes Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the reporting cycle Monitor evolving SEC/GAAP reporting trends and contribute to benchmarking initiatives Assist with drafting and maintaining financial reporting policies and technical memos Support quarterly reviews and the year-end audit with external auditors Handle ad hoc projects from senior leadership across Accounting Policy and Corporate Controllership Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required CPA strongly preferred Master’s degree or MBA is a plus 6+ years of progressive accounting experience Background in public accounting and/or large U.S. public company preferred In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting Exceptional communication and organizational skills Strong analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience with Workiva, Oracle, Hyperion, or OneStream is a plus Compensation & Benefits
