Are you a Radiologic Technologist who thrives on utilizing your skillset in the OR environment? Do you want to have the flexibility to work when you are available? This position is for you! Come join our team as a PRN/Supplemental OR Rad Tech with no weekends/nights/call/ or holidays rotations. This position is to be available to pick up at least one (1) weekday shift a month, or as staffing is needed at any of the Ambulatory Surgery Centers throughout Indianapolis. The technologist will be responsible for running C-Arms for surgical specialties such as Orthopedics, Pain Management, Urology, and Spine procedures, and will act as a liaison between the OR Teams and Imaging Services. Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery. Prepares patients by explaining exams and positioning them correctly. Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging. Follows radiation safety protocols. Documents detailed patient history and information in EMR. Stays current with continuing education. Monitors patients during exam for safety. Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed. Qualifications
Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required. Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning. Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire. Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit. Employment type
