The Advanced Practice Provider works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team and is responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive and age-appropriate care to both well and ill patients; educates patients and families, intervenes in acute or chronic illness, coordinates oncologic care between Unity, Sibley and Howard and other providers as appropriate; obtains appropriate patient histories and performs physical examinations. Other activities are in support of patient/family education, staff education, unit activities, and psychosocial care of patient and family. Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopaedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a state-of-the-art 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley\'s campus, with its new patient tower, is also home to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, the Johns Hopkins National Proton Therapy Center, Grand Oaks -- an assisted living residence -- a medical building with physician offices and an ambulatory surgery and imaging center. Day shift, 40 hours per week, some weekends, no on call. Who Should Apply

Current Nurse Practitioner or PA license in the District of Columbia. Master\u2019s or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant from an accredited program. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Family, or Adult-Gerontology, or PA. Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing or as a PA; prior experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner is preferred. Strong clinical skills in oncology, including knowledge of cancer treatment protocols, symptom management, and patient education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment. What Awaits You

Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
