Overview

We’re looking for a seasoned

Senior or Principal Platform Engineer

to help build and scale the backbone of our platform. This role is a hybrid between

API development

and

DevOps engineering , with a focus on enabling seamless customer deployment experiences. You’ll own critical systems that power provisioning, deployments, and “bring your own cloud” (BYOC) integrations across AWS and Azure environments. This is an onsite position in either

Boston

or

San Francisco —you’ll work closely with engineering and product teams to drive architecture decisions and deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure solutions. What You’ll Do

Design and build

platform APIs

that power automated deployments, provisioning, and integrations. Develop

BYOC workflows

that support hybrid cloud environments (AWS + Azure). Build and manage infrastructure-as-code using

Terraform

and

Helm

for Kubernetes-based deployments. Architect and support

agent-based installation systems , enabling simple “click-to-install” deployment experiences. Drive automation and reliability across provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure platform scalability and usability. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to long-term platform strategy at a senior or principal level. What We’re Looking For

5+ years

of experience in platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering (senior or principal-level ownership). Strong experience with

API development

(REST/GraphQL, ideally with a modern language such as Go, Python, or TypeScript). Hands-on expertise with

AWS

and

Azure

in hybrid or multi-cloud environments. Deep knowledge of

Kubernetes ,

Helm , and

Terraform . Proven success designing

automated provisioning and deployment systems . Experience with

agent-based installation frameworks

or similar customer-facing deployment models. Strong communication skills with the ability to operate cross-functionally and influence architecture decisions. Bonus Points

Background in building developer platforms or self-service infrastructure products. Familiarity with security and compliance in multi-cloud environments. Previous experience in high-growth startups or platform-centric engineering orgs. Compensation:

$190,000-$250,000 per year
