Role Overview

This position supports Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions offered through our MWI Animal Health brand. MWI Animal Health provides global animal health services, and we are seeking a Field IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while performing on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software, and network infrastructures in cattle feeding and dairy operations.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver effective IT solutions.
• Install and maintain computer hardware, including servers, computers, switches, and routers. This also includes wired and wireless infrastructure hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including virus removal and general troubleshooting.
• Manage local day travel to customer sites, with occasional long-distance overnight travel as required.
• Be available for a rotational weekend on-call schedule.
• Conduct coaxial and networking cable runs and climb structures as necessary.
• Stay adaptable and ready to work with diverse applications related to computer and network equipment.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with basic operating system troubleshooting; knowledge of Linux is preferred.
• Proficient in troubleshooting Windows XP, Vista 7, and 8.
• Experience in supporting 1 to 20 computers or workstations.
• Reliable and motivated, with a strong desire to learn and grow in unfamiliar areas.

Education

A degree or certification in a technical field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Driving Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to maintain a DOT log book is required.
• No major driving convictions or significant violations in the past five years.
