About the Role:

The Expeditor at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (CDT) plays a critical role in ensuring seamless communication and coordination between the kitchen and the dining room to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This position is responsible for managing the timely and accurate flow of food orders, prioritizing dishes, and maintaining quality control before meals reach the guests. The Expeditor acts as a liaison between chefs, servers, and management to resolve any issues promptly and uphold the theatre's high standards of service. By overseeing the final presentation and timing of each order, the Expeditor helps maintain operational efficiency during busy performances and dining periods. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to guest satisfaction and the overall success of CDT's dining and entertainment experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

16 years or older Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or theatre dining environment, preferably in a similar expeditor or food runner role. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between kitchen and front-of-house staff. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume service periods. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in alignment with theatre performance schedules. 3 shifts a week, 2 Friday-Sunday Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a dinner theatre or entertainment dining setting. Certification in food handling. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities with a calm and professional demeanor. Responsibilities:

Coordinate and prioritize food orders between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery. Inspect dishes for quality, accuracy, and presentation before they leave the kitchen. Communicate effectively with chefs and servers to manage order modifications and special requests. Monitor ticket times and adjust workflow to prevent delays during peak service hours. Assist in training new staff on expediting procedures and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station to support efficient operations. Collaborate with management to address and resolve any service or food quality issues promptly. Benefits:

The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively helps manage the flow of multiple orders simultaneously, especially during busy showtimes. Additionally, interpersonal skills foster teamwork and collaboration, creating a positive work environment that supports excellent guest experiences.
