Position Overview

Based out of 491 Central Road, Fredericksburg, VA | Work radius within 50 miles. Full-time | $54,000 - $70,000 per year. This role involves operating heavy equipment for fine grading tasks on commercial construction sites. Successful candidates will have experience with dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and motor graders, ensuring precise work to meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for fine and rough grading with precision, including GPS-guided work.
• Interpret and follow construction blueprints and site plans.
• Maintain job site safety by adhering to procedures and policies.
• Assist with grade setting, silt fence installation, and site preparation.
• Perform equipment maintenance, inspections, and keep equipment clean.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy equipment operation experience with a focus on fine grading.
• Proficiency with various heavy machinery including dozers, excavators, and graders.
• Understanding of grading principles, slope creation, and drainage control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grading specifications.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

• Experience with GPS-grade control systems.
