Overview
WTHR-TV, the TEGNA-owned NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, IN, is looking for a dynamic Executive Assistant. This role provides high‑level administrative and project management support to the President & General Manager, the Director of Content, and the full content team. The position ensures smooth day‑to‑day operations, coordinates key projects, and manages communication flow between departments in a fast‑paced media environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing tracking station projects including strategic planning, town halls, and other staff events, using office technologies (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- With input from the leadership team, create internal communications and announcements for staff, including digital graphic design, type layout, and photo editing.
- Manage calendars for the Station Manager and Director of Content; schedule meetings and coordinate with internal staff, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for leadership and clients (flights, hotels, transportation, itineraries).
- Handle and coordinate event tickets and suites in Indianapolis for Sales Department and WTHR leadership.
- Assist in planning station‑wide events including client gatherings and community outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with newsroom and other departments to provide operational support as needed.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality on executive and station matters.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in an administrative or support role reporting directly to upper management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time‑management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and creative/design software (Photoshop, Express, Canva); quick learner of new software.
- Bonus: Proficiency with digital video/audio editing software (Premiere, Edius).
- Flexible, collaborative team player who adapts to change and remains professional with confidential information.
