North Carolina State University is hiring: Hiring & Training Coordinator in Rale

Rave! Catering is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Pack as an Event Coordinator. Rave! Catering proudly employs experienced, certified chefs and catering professionals to provide the highest degree of service possible to ensure successful events.

Essential job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Recruit and interview prospective student and temp employees, along with promotional opportunities with current student employees
• Assist with the training process of all new temp and student employees
• Supervise the hiring team responsible for student recruitment
• Lead new hire orientation sessions for Rave! employees
• Create and manage new employee profiles in When2Work
• Conduct student feedback and performance reviews each semester
• Complete separation paperwork for students as needed
• When necessary, assist with staff scheduling for events
• Supervise events, when necessary, under the direction of the Senior Event Coordinator
• Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met. Position may be asked to assist in other locations as necessary.

This is an hourly position that includes a state-required 32-day break at the end of 11 months.

NC State Dining provides campus-wide food services to students, staff, and faculty on the North Carolina State University Campus. NC State Dining operates 11 cafes, 3 food courts and 6 dining halls, 3 markets, 2 restaurants, vending, a nutritional counseling service, and a catering department. The department employs approximately 1000 temporary and student employees and approximately 190 permanent employees.

Requirements and Preferences

Minimum requirements include:

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work will also be considered.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous work experience in catering or food service experience
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety, cleaning and sanitation procedures
• Familiar with Applicant Tracking System such as JazzHR

Recruitment Details

Anticipated hiring range: $18 per hour.
