About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Accounting to lead and expand an established accounting team, with a current focus on bringing all accounting functions in-house to support construction projects and expand financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, including AP/AR, loan draws, and processing invoices, and will play a key role in integrating and ensuring the efficiency of the project and development accounting teams. Strategic financial insights, support for FP&A functions, and close collaboration with executive leadership for long-term planning are also integral to the role. Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting position at the company should have 7-17 years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate, development, construction, or lending sectors. Extensive experience in tax and familiarity with Big 4 accounting practices is highly desirable, and a CPA certification is a strong advantage. The role requires proven leadership skills, the ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level, and strong organizational skills to drive projects from conception to completion. The Vice President of Accounting will also be tasked with building and managing a general contractor function capable of handling all financial processing for development deals and preparing to transition the management of loan packages from third-party to in-house processing.
