Salary/Pay Range: $96,000 - 102,000 per academic year. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary: The successful faculty member will develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity and general computer science as assigned by the chair based on departmental needs, will possess a solid publication record, and be expected to develop or continue to develop a strong research group with externally funded research program in Cybersecurity.
The tenure-track, assistant professor position in Cybersecurity will have expertise in one or more of the following areas of Cybersecurity:
- Data security including digital forensics and cryptographic multiparty computation
- Software security including malware analysis, software supply chain security, deployment and maintenance
- System security including vulnerability analysis and cloud computing security
- Network security including SDN and NFV security
- Component security or device security including reverse engineering and security platform architecture
- Formal methods and language based security
- Human aspects of security including social engineering, usable security and privacy
- AI/ML security and IoT/ICS security
- Interdisciplinary research cutting across human security, organization security and society security

Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related area. Ph.D. must be conferred by start date of appointment (January 2026).
- At least 4 months teaching experience in an academic setting as a teaching assistant, instructor of record or the equivalent.
