Location & Salary Work Location: On‑Site. Salary Range: $51,508 – $71,046 annually. This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary of Responsibilities The Director of Academic Support (DAS) provides direct support to the department chairperson, facilitates program operations, and serves as the university liaison for the AFROTC program within UCCS.
Essential Functions
Serve as primary liaison between the AFROTC department and the university community for services such as HR, IT, facilities, and academic scheduling.
Synchronize university and ROTC recruitment, onboarding, and event planning.
Analyze program concerns and prepare reports to resolve discrepancies.
Develop procedures and work processes for the program, including negotiating MOUs.
Provide training and guidance to new personnel on university, military, and department policies.
Coordinate special events, travel logistics, and vendor contracts for cadet and cadre activities.
Supervise cadets and provide mentorship, especially regarding budget and academic requirements.
Maintain the OL‑105A website and oversee content management and compliance.
Act as the primary communicator with AF Detachment 105, UCCS, CU Boulder, and the COE Dean.
Oversee budgeting, financial posting, scholarship committee duties, and donor relations.
Implement academic enrollment support, including advising cadets on registration and requirements.
Budget Management
Establish budgetary plan in coordination with chairperson, dean, and other university offices.
Execute Department expenditures and manage supply ordering.
Generate financial reports and reconcile expenses.
Create and manage scholarship processes and alumni database.
Ensure compliance with state and federal financial guidelines.
Campus Liaison Duties
Provide executive support to cadre and interpret university policies.
Serve as an advisor to the COE Dean and AF cadre on resource allocation.
Maintain documentation, onboarding processes, and MOUs.
Coordinate volunteer requirements and function as point of contact for the OL‑105A.
Attend Initial Planning Review meetings with detachment leadership.
Academic Enrollment
Assist recruiting officer with enrollment policies and applicant instruction.
Ensure compliance with Air Force requirements and document dissemination.
Schedule classrooms, resolve registration issues, and advise on transcripts.
Assist with marketing and enrollment efforts.
Mentor cadets on academic and program requirements.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
Experience required: Microsoft Office Suite, HCM, MyLeave, CU Foundation Reports, Concur, Marketplace, Ecomm, and/or Canva.
Higher education administrative experience highly desirable.
Military familiarity and/or experience highly desirable.
Budget planning and procurement experience desirable.
IT experience, especially website content management and computer graphics for marketing, desirable.
