Position details

• Shift Times: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, M-F
• Pay Schedule: Weekly
• Starting Pay: $15.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Move, organize, and prepare materials for shipping and receiving.
• Handle products by hand, stack boxes, label items, and load or unload trucks.
• Staging materials and trailers efficiently and safely to maintain smooth warehouse workflow.
• Receive product from production and accurately read customer information; scan product to correct trailer to support On Time In Full.
• Learns to perform a variety of general production tasks using common hand tools and to prepare and pack Comfort Research products.
• Assist with loading and unloading products from warehouse racks per production/distribution center requirements.
• May learn to operate various machines to maintain production requirements.
• Move and manipulate products/material weighing up to 50 pounds; frequently twist, lift, turn, and bend; pull, push, and tug materials as needed.
• Perform quality checks and report non-conforming product and follow proper processes.
• Share information about mechanical problems or shortages with team lead, supervisor, or maintenance personnel.
• Meet daily production requirements and cross-train on other job functions as directed; may rotate through tasks.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area.
• Develop skills to problem solve with others; may assist with completion of appropriate paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 weeks of training time required for most tasks
• Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred but not required
• Ability to lift, carry, and move boxes/materials up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to read and understand job aids and other instructional material in English (preferred)
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods
