Salary: $80,000 to $85,000

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Weld Engineer with a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and capable of completing qualification testing for both manual welders and robotic welders (cobots). This role requires a strong ability to review potential quote packages with our estimating department and oversee any customer audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform qualification testing for manual welders and robotic welders (cobots).
  • Review potential quote packages with the estimating department.
  • Oversee customer audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist in assessing manual welders during interviews.
  • Maintain updated welding records for each employee, documenting their capabilities.
  • Revamp and implement a robotic training program for individuals with no prior experience in robotic welding.
  • Ensure timely and organized responses to internal and external inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
  • Hands-on experience with both manual and robotic welding processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the estimating department and other teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and timely response to inquiries.
  • Experience in training and assessing welders.
