Schedule Night shift: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Job Description The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). The ideal candidate must possess required IMC experience and a preference for candidates with ICU/IMC backgrounds who can manage a patient ratio of 4:1. Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic, is necessary.
Responsibilities
Manage patient care for a caseload of 4 patients per nurse
Administer medications, including cardiac drips, Heparin protocols, and PCA
Perform assessments and monitor vital signs, including telemetry for dysrhythmias
Handle IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
Provide care for ventilated patients and manage tracheostomy care
Assist with post-operative care, including those recovering from general surgeries and cardiac procedures
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1 year of IMC experience required
Preferred certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Ability to manage patient ratios of 4:1 in an IMC setting
Experience with Epic charting system
