Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Night shift, 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). The ideal candidate will have a patient care ratio experience of 1:4-5 and be proficient in using the Epic charting system. This position requires managing a variety of patient diagnoses, including multiple trauma, general med-surg admissions, and cardiac conditions.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced IMC setting.
Administer medications and perform assessments based on established protocols.
Manage a variety of interventions including IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond to emergencies effectively.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an IMC or ICU setting.
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
Experience with advanced patient management skills such as managing cardiac drips, ventilator support, and tracheostomy care.
