Overview

Job Title : Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift.

Location : Theodore, Alabama.

Type: Long term.

Responsibilities

• Under general direction, repair and maintenance of production related equipment within the manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical, plumbing, engines, motors, cranes and other production related equipment.
• Documents and completes records of repair, work orders, etc. in an accurate and timely manner.
• Uses hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain.
• Maintains a clean work area and maintains general housekeeping standards, such as proper care for assigned tools.
• Understands and practices established safety and quality standard procedures.
• Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements.
• Assists with cross training peers.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Moderate noise in the work environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven working knowledge of industrial powered equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes and hoists.
• Intermediate electric, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, sketches.
• Basic math.
• Self - starter capable of effectively managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Overtime, weekend hours and split shifts, as needed.
• Certification from trade school or technical program.
• Basic wiring skills a plus.
• Electrical motor control experience, desired.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office a plus.

Education

• High school diploma or GED.
