Job Description

The Basic Function (Purpose of Position) is to manually dispense/package finished product and/or intermediates approved by Quality Control.

• Dispenses and packages products by operating the filling lines according to SOP.
• Moves material in various size containers that weigh up to 500 lbs using material handling equipment, manual manipulation, pulling, pushing, and rolling.
• Performs in-process checks (e.g., visual process inspections, verification of labels, verification of fill weights, etc.).
• Performs basic troubleshooting to ensure operation efficiency and product quality.
• Exhibits proficiency in all functions of two of the three skill areas (Manual Filling, Automatic Filling, Water Spider).
• Maintains neat, orderly, and clean shop floor and workplace at all times.
• Works in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and adheres to internal policies.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with proficiency in basic mathematical skills (Metric vs. English system) plus 1 – 3 years related experience in a production environment. Product knowledge, including color and odor, is preferred, as well as familiarity with computer functions/menus and automated systems.

Must be capable of performing routine work assignments, multi-tasking, and following instructions with moderate supervision. Must be hard-working, self-motivated, committed to quality, and recognize the impact of day-to-day activities on the shop floor on customer satisfaction.

Physical Demands/Dexterity

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and manipulate, push/pull, and roll containers that weigh up to 150 lbs. Constant standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, and crouching is required.

Equipment Used

May be required to wear a respirator or use a forklift or Hi-Lo as directed.

Pay Rate: $21.44/hr - $24.01/hr
