Overview

Armed Security Guard with Security Clearance. This is a PART-TIME opportunity. The position will work various shifts, days, and holidays. Pay rate is $30.15 hourly, with health and welfare at $5.25 hourly, and night shift differential (11pm to 7am) of $1.00 hourly. This role is in a Federal Enclave and union membership is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide "Life Safety" response (Active Shooter) per established procedures.
• Enforce regulations to prevent security breaches.
• Respond to alarms, complaints, incidents, violations and suspicious activities; take appropriate action.
• Secure/safeguard crime scenes and preserve evidence.
• Perform crowd control as required.
• Conduct personnel, vehicular and building facility checks; provide First Aid and CPR as required.
• Complete all required reports, forms, and documentation per procedures.
• Staff posts continuously and provide access control.
• Control access to restricted areas and report violations; direct and provide information to visitors.
• May operate x-ray machines, magnetometers, hand-held wands and screen packages.
• Safeguard assets and provide assistance as needed.
• Escort persons and equipment as required; conduct foot/vehicle patrols.
• Monitor unusual situations/conditions through personal or electronic surveillance.
• Perform other assignments in accordance with established SOPs.

Required qualifications and experience

• US Citizenship status is required per government contract.
• Must possess/obtain an active Florida D or G license; must obtain with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET clearance, and be considered for a TS/SCI.
