Mechanic

Pay: $20/hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (hours may vary due to company needs)
Location: Broken Arrow, OK
Job Type: 6-Month Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic for a 6-month contract role in Broken Arrow. This position involves fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal parts, equipment, and products. The Mechanic will work with blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to ensure all work meets precise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications
• Lay out and mark dimensions, trace patterns, and use templates
• Operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, and forming rolls
• Weld, solder, rivet, or bond components to assemble products
• Inspect finished assemblies for conformance and perform repairs
• Maintain accuracy, quality, and security of materials and tasks
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or in sheet metal fabrication
• Ability to calculate measurements and apply basic algebra
• Strong ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements

• Lift/move up to 25–50 lbs as needed
• Good vision and depth perception
• Comfortable in a moderate noise environment
