The Production Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless coordination and execution of manufacturing processes to meet production targets efficiently. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed production schedules that align with customer demand, inventory levels, and resource availability. The Production Planner collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing operations to optimize workflow and minimize downtime. By leveraging ERP and MRP systems, the planner ensures accurate material requirements and timely procurement to support uninterrupted production. Ultimately, this role drives operational excellence by balancing production capacity with demand, reducing lead times, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process with the goal of achieving zero backorders and minimizing unnecessary costs. Develop and execute the master production plan based on customer demand and production capabilities. Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality control, and customer service teams to meet customer commitments. Identify and communicate any bottlenecks or disruptions to the production plan. Review and continuously improve the accuracy of the current planning system. Work closely with sales and demand planners to ensure forecasts are up to date and achievable. Provide direct input for capacity planning, monthly financials, and supply chain planning, including lead time reviews. Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. A combination of education and practical experience will be considered. Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and effectively communicate across departments. Strong organizational skills with a high sense of urgency and attention to detail. Proactive problem-solving skills and strategic thinking. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA and others) and experience working in a regulated environment is preferred. English proficiency is required; Spanish is a plus. Physical Demands
