We are a client service company first, and therefore our Project Managers must be able to build strong relationships with our clients, without compromising a streamlined engineering and building process. We maintain a leveled Project Management structure to ensure clarity around scope, responsibility, and compensation. During the interview process, candidates are assessed and placed into one of four levels based on experience, technical skill, and demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and client relationships. Placement determines starting salary and initial scope of responsibility. Levels of Project Management
Level 1 - Project Manager : Salary Range: $85-90K. Successfully manages projects up to $250K solo, with at least $2M in annual revenue. Highly detail-oriented, with a strong grasp of internal process. May require support on some client calls (~25%). Typically 1-3 years of PM experience. Level 2 - Project Manager : Salary Range: $90-100K. Manages projects up to $350K solo, with at least $3M in annual revenue. Beginning to own project pricing for smaller scopes. Strong client relationship skills that support repeat work. Early-stage leadership skills. Typically 2-4 years of PM experience. Level 3 - Project Manager : Salary Range: $100-110K. Manages projects up to $500K solo, with at least $4M in annual revenue. Builds budgets across most verticals. Smoothly expedites production timelines. Strong leadership and direct client engagement. Often the first point of contact for new project requests. Typically 3-5 years of PM experience. Level 4 - Project Manager : Salary Range: $110-120K. Manages projects up to $1.5M solo, with at least $4.5M in annual revenue. Regularly meets or exceeds a 45% contribution margin. Operates with a high degree of independence and ownership. Develops and grows key client relationships. Typically 4-10 years of PM experience. In the course of a project, the Project Manager analyzes the scope of work for an assigned project, delegates project-related needs, and puts together an actionable plan for production. Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day communication with clients to create trust and goodwill. Evaluate and process client feedback of all categories. Deliver the client's message to the appropriate party, and provide the appropriate context. Identify and communicate project challenges and brainstorm solutions with clients. Develop build proposals that consider their budget and timeline as well as our shop capabilities and bandwidth. Production Management
Analyze every project for value engineering. Identify and communicate project challenges and brainstorm solutions with Department Leads. Follow Bednark's process to streamline production. Develop and track samples. Coordinate all change orders along the project timeline. Ensure all project documents are current and accurate. Quality control of all elements throughout the fabrication process. Budget Management
Identify and describe the Bednark Scope of Work (SOW) and develop the project budget/estimate. Keep quotes current with change orders and updates to the scope. Document all approvals, days, and date. Review quotes from vendors to ensure they align with the budget. Maintain project margins per management. Required Skill-sets
Understanding of fabrication and building methods. Ability to read and redline technical drawings. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel), Google Suites (Docs, Sheets, Slides). Experience working in a shop and communicating with cabinetmakers.
