General Configuration Language (GCL) Global Capacity and Operations has a mission to provide the best possible forecast for our global Operations and Finance partners. In addition, we serve as stewards of the company's global warehouse and data center material inventory. Our command center and order management teams work to ensure that both orders escalations and every day business needs are captured, monitored and resolved. We are responsible for the global warehouse footprint of warehouses, utilizing the company\'s growth plans and special project knowledge to drive a warehouse network focused on serving all data center, manufacturing and special project storage needs in the network large service centers. We work directly with internal Google customers to understand and manage their needs and expectations. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate management of inventory levels across North and South American data centers. You will maintain seamless data center operations by optimizing stock levels of critical components, preventing stockouts and overstocks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet the dynamic demands of the data center environment. You will leverage your expertise in inventory control and data analysis to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the continuous availability of essential equipment. Responsibilities

Partner with internal teams and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to coordinate inventory replenishment, forecast future demand, and maintain high levels of stock accuracy through regular audits. Drive inventory strategy to meet customer demand and prevent stock-outs or overstock. Analyze trends to continuously improve processes and reduce carrying costs while ensuring component availability. Apply a deep understanding of data center critical components to manage inventory across multiple sites, navigating regional nuances and complex logistics to ensure operational continuity. Implement and maintain advanced inventory management systems and tools. Generate insightful reports and provide data-driven recommendations to support senior management decision-making. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies efficiently, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our stock across all global locations and partner teams. Minimum qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience managing warehousing, data center, supply chain operations and/or inventory management systems. 3 years of experience working with, supervising, or managing third-party logistics relationships. Preferred qualifications

Certifications in Project management. Experience managing programs in multiple locations. Experience in operations management, problem-solving, third-party logistics vendor relationships, cost/budget management. Ability to calmly and effectively handle multiple and changing priorities. Ability to apply structured thinking and logic to your work and provide solutions to operational challenges. Excellent investigative, decision-making and communication skills. Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$155,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
