Overview Recruitment Consultant - Renewable Energy (USA) at Leap29

Responsibilities

Lead technical integration of renewables with data centers, overseeing engineering standards, workflows, and project alignment for developments exceeding 1.5 GW capacity.

Define and implement unified engineering standards that ensure seamless interconnection between renewable assets and data center infrastructure.

Conduct feasibility studies and optimization analyses for renewable + data center co-location, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Partner with internal engineering teams, consultants, and EPCs to deliver optimized and code-compliant designs through all project phases (greenfield to commissioning).

Provide strategic technical input on emerging energy technologies (PV modules, hybrid inverters, energy storage, and next-gen solar tech) with a focus on data center applications.

Oversee QA/QC processes and acceptance testing, ensuring reliability and performance for mission-critical data center operations.

Develop and refine internal workflows, forecasting platforms, and AI/non-AI tools to accelerate analysis and reduce design turnaround times.

Collaborate with procurement, M&A, and finance teams to evaluate technical risks and opportunities in support of long-term energy and infrastructure strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline; Master’s in Solar Energy Engineering or equivalent preferred.

7+ years of engineering experience with utility-scale renewable energy systems, including solar PV, BESS, and wind.

Proven experience integrating renewables into data center infrastructure, ideally across multi-gigawatt projects.

Strong technical background in grid interconnection, system optimization, and energy yield analysis.

Familiarity with engineering software: AutoCAD, PVCase, PVSyst, RatedPower, NREL SAM, PlantPredict, and similar.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and manage external consultants, OEs, and IEs.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience aligning engineering execution to business strategy.
