Overview This position will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure and partners with our systems, network, applications, and info sec personnel in support of integration and development. Supports a sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, on prem data center-hosted servers, cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Develops and validates functional requirements and identifies gaps or risks to meet business and security needs.

Performs routine upgrades, sets up VPN tunnels, and implements network changes for integration work.

Identifies, develops, plans, implements, and supports enterprise security systems.

Develops new and/or updates existing controls that limit the risk exposure for the company and optimizes security system performance.

Network operating and maintenance concepts and methods used to troubleshoot network problems for LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and VoIP.

Installs, configures, upgrades, and manages Next Gen Firewalls

Troubleshoots complex network (LAN, WAN, DNS, etc.) and firewall-related issues.

Conducts regular security assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.

Monitors security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.

Proactively pinpoints and eliminates network performance bottlenecks impacting business workloads and steadily improves network uptime.

Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned and needed.

Accountability and Supervision None

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, preferred.

Three (3) years working experience with firewall administration in a business environment, preferred.

CCNA, CCNP, Security+, or other professional certifications, preferred.

Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Palo Alto, PCNSE required within the first year of employment.

Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certification

Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA.

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.

Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs.

Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.

Must possess a strong commitment to the organizational goals and objectives while showing the utmost discretion and loyalty to the organization when dealing with confidential information and data.

Must be able to apply proven communication, strong analytical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills while working independently; managing projects; installing, configuring, upgrading, maintaining, and monitoring system performance and network resources; and providing guidance to team members.

Must be able to create clear and thorough reports and organize and maintain files.

Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule to include 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-call, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must possess thorough knowledge of NIGC MICS, POIGRA Regulations, departmental, and organizational policies, and procedures.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time.

Must be able to carry, lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions May occasionally deal with angry or hostile individuals. May possibly work in a smoke-filled environment. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Work hours subject to change.
