Hybrid (with travel as needed) About the Role We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive the successful development of

commercial and industrial solar projects

from initial site evaluation through construction readiness. This hybrid position requires occasional travel to project sites, local government offices, and stakeholder meetings. Key Responsibilities Engage with property owners to evaluate and secure land through leases or purchase agreements. Partner with external engineering firms to manage due diligence and ensure timely delivery of technical documents. Oversee the utility interconnection process, tracking all milestones, fees, and deadlines. Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local governments and regulatory agencies to prepare projects for construction. Collaborate closely with internal construction teams to ensure seamless project handoffs. Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, utilities, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor market trends, regulations, and legislative developments that may impact project viability. Prepare and submit budget requests to support major development expenditures. Work cross-functionally with site selection, origination, legal, finance, construction, and asset management teams to drive project success. Core Competencies & Skills 5+ years of solar or renewable energy development experience , including full project lifecycle management. Ability to quickly learn and navigate new processes, such as local permitting ordinances or unfamiliar utility interconnection protocols. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences (e.g., landowners, utility staff, and government representatives). Strong relationship-building and consensus-building abilities with key stakeholders. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the confidence to resolve unique challenges independently while knowing when to escalate issues. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about advancing renewable energy solutions. Hybrid work model

with opportunities for both remote and in-office collaboration. Travel up to 40%
