About the Job
- The Microwave Engineering Division, Public Safety Communications is responsible for design, engineering, installation and maintenance of the statewide microwave network used by the State’s public safety agencies’ first responders on a 24 hours/7 days a week/365 days a year basis. Associate Telecommunications Engineer
- Under direction of a Senior Telecommunications Engineer, the position performs difficult engineering work or may act as lead person over subordinate staff members in connection with design, installation, maintenance, and operation of statewide radio communications systems. Assistant Telecommunications Engineer
- Under the supervision of a Senior Telecommunications Engineer, the position performs engineering work of moderate difficulty in the radio engineering field. Electrical Engineer
- Under the direction of a Senior Telecommunications Engineer, the Electrical Engineer performs engineering work in the radio engineering field. Desirable Qualifications : Have a 4-year degree with major work in electrical, electronic or telecommunications engineering. Understand two-way radio systems and system design concepts. Experience with the use of a digital oscilloscope, radio frequency signal generator, communications monitor, spectrum analyzer and/or vector network analyzer for testing and configuration of radio equipment/components and systems.
