Overview
A client is looking for a Senior Azure Engineer to join their team. This role is a 6-month contract, with a possible hire. We are seeking a strong Infrastructure Engineer with deep Azure expertise to support the transformation from on-prem data centers to Azure.
You will perform infrastructure as code (IAC) using Terraform, build and validate environments, ensure alignment, and create new environments with compute and networking. You will work cross-functionally with the DevOps team on deployments, pipelines, and best practices. You will also contribute to architectural diagrams, SOPs, and collaborate with developers to drive the on-premise to Azure transformation.

Responsibilities
Support the transformation of on-prem data centers to Azure.
Perform infrastructure as code using Terraform.
Build, validate, and ensure alignment of new environments with compute and networking components.
Collaborate cross-functionally with the DevOps team on deployments, pipelines, and best practices.
Develop architectural diagrams and SOPs; collaborate with developers to enable the Azure transformation.
Qualifications
4-5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering with Azure.
3+ years of professional experience with Azure (Azure CLI, Azure Compute, Azure Well-Architected Framework).
Experience with Azure design, deployment, and management of infrastructure solutions (VMs, storage accounts, virtual networks, Azure AD, O365).
Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI or similar).
Experience with Terraform (IAC).
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containers.
Microsoft Certifications: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Expert.
Experience with an Azure migration.
Identity and Access Management; Entra ID experience.
Understanding of AKS clusters and configurations.
